All the info you would ever want about me, Ryan Foran...
I'm a professional journalist and communications specialist who has worked in television and radio for more than ten years. Currently I am a news reporter at KOLD/KMSB TV in Tucson, AZ. I'm also a Communications Consultant for schools and school districts.

I discovered something I love and I'm doing it for a living!

In April of 2012 I became a news reporter for KOLD/KMSB Television in Tucson, Arizona. I'm one of three reporters for our two morning shows that air for four and half hours a day. I typically do about ten-twelve live shots each day. I love being the first to the scene of breaking news and getting our viewers the important information they need to know. I love my job and I'm unbelievably fortunate for being able to have found a career that I am energetic and truly passionate about.

Live interview with Chuck Liddell
Interviewing Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell at halftime of a Cal Poly football game while working for KSBY TV in San Luis Obispo, CA.

We talked about his induction into the Cal Poly hall of fame, and I had to ask about his upcoming debut on "Dancing with the Stars"!

I actually mustered up the nerve to get in the cage with Liddell for a two-part sweeps piece. You can see my beating here! Minus the many bumps and bruises, it was one of my all-time favorite assignments!

More About Me and Resume

Health and Fitness

I somehow managed to combine my passion for running, sports, and broadcasting to create Living the Run, a very fun and informative radio show and website. I started Living the Run, which was and still is, dedicated to the best health, fitness, and nutrition information in May of 2010. Our radio show aired every Wednesday night from 6:00-7:00 p.m. PST on ESPN 1280. Paul Terek, who is an Olympian in the decathlon, and myself hosted the show. We usually had one or two guest experts each week and talked everything health and fitness. We were proud partners with the American Cancer Society and the HEAL SLO Coalition. Our website was updated daily, and we had five different bloggers writing for us. After nearly two years of Living the run, I sold it when I moved to Tucson. You can listen to past shows on this site as well.

Cal Poly Broadcast Booth
Halftime pizza break! I did play-by-play for Cal Poly men's for two seasons. Brad Pickett did a fantastic job providing the color commentary!
I also had the opportunity to call a Major League Soccer game between the San Jose Earthquakes and the Colorado Rapids.
